There are lessons I took a while to learn, and ones I know yet I am still trying not to feel bad about. If you follow my blog you will know I have had issues with saying ‘no’ and also trying to please everyone else, but I am making progress! So I am sharing some lessons with you that maybe you need to be reminded about too. Here are my 10 things it is OK to be OK with . . .
- It’s OK to change your mind.
- It’s OK to let go.
- It’s OK to not answer every phone call.
- It’s OK to take care of yourself.
- It’s OK tell people “no” and still be a nice person.
- It’s OK not to like everyone.
- It’s OK if everyone doesn’t like you.
- It’s OK to make mistakes.
- It’s OK to cry.
- It’s OK to be weird, it’s called being unique.

I love your list, especially about being weird – I’m definitely weird and I’m ok with that! #mg
Some of these are hard lessons, indeed! I would add:
It’s ok to spend the weekend at home in your PJs.
It’s okay to be the only one to say no and say what everyone is thinking but not saying out loud. It’s okay to not worry about ones impression. Loved your list!
Great post – I have struggled with many of these. I guess I always struggle with people not liking me, I don’t know why, but I need to realise that I am not everyone’s cup of tea and that is ok. Love this – have a lovely Monday x #mg
Love this post, Mac! I would add, it’s okay to speak your mind (respectfully) even if it means you are swimming upstream! #mg xoxoxo
Such a great (and freeing!) list! I can’t think of a thing I’d add — except, maybe, it’s ok to have popcorn and icecream for supper sometimes, especially when it’s Friday night and everyone is tired and wants to watch a movie.
I have recently realized that I don’t say no enough. I never saw myself as a people pleaser but when it comes to the ones I truly care about I am. But I’ve also noticed it around blogging. I had gotten tons of emails asking to write a guest post on my blog. Most of them are doing that to get linkbacks for a company that is paying them. I didn’t know this but even after finding out I was hesitant to say no to these emails. I finally did though and it felt great to do that. It is something I have to work on both personally and professionally. Love your list! Thanks so much for hosting #mg
I have now made peace with all my flaws and I think it’s simply okay to be living with them!
It’s okay to be open and honest, which I think you’ve covered here really. But to me, it’s so important to be open and honest. From our 8 year old daughter, to my hubby to friends and family. You can do this with tact but I think this is a great asset to have. Thanks so much for hosting #mg Mac x
It’s ok to be confident – it doesn’t make you “up yourself” or “vain”. Be unapologetically YOU. <3
I so agree with your list, I do find it difficult to say no, but everything else I feel ok with. Thank you so much for featuring my post from last week. I’m grabbing my badge now x
Love no:10 it reminds me of quotes from Alice in Wonderland and Dr Seuss. Thanks for hosting. #mg
Agree on all counts. We don’t realise all of that. I’d like to add 11 — it’s ok to not be ok. 🙂
