Friends.

Friends make me happy, I am so lucky to have great ones who listen when I am down, make me laugh out loud, who shop with me, who hug my kids, who tell me I am a good mum when I question myself and who never fail to have coffee dates with me!

Coffee.

Coffee makes me happy every week, in fact I just blogged about how important coffee and friends are in a cheeky post! But this week I also enjoyed ice-coffee, it has been so hot here with every day above 30 and even the next week is set to be above 30 everyday! I don’t think Melbourne knows that it is officially Autumn. After a day watching our children at the school swimming carnival in 36 degree weather I just had to stop with a friend for an iced coffee. She chose the Salted Caramel Iced Coffee and I chose the Mocha, we were even naughty and said yes to the whipped cream! I know so bad, so, so bad!

Hugs!

Both my girls needed loads of hugs this week, they both had a week where they were just a little down. I even kept April home one day as she just wasn’t herself, she was saying her tummy hurt and she was teary and miserable. We had loads of hugs, hugs are great and I would even say the are better than coffee when they are with your child!

This reminds me of my 8 year old April this week!

Flowers.

I love bringing flowers from the garden inside, it makes the home look so pretty and fresh straight away! I brought in some roses and added them to my bathroom and it has made me happy this week.

Baby Shower Shopping.

Oh my gosh how adorable are baby clothes?!!!!! I forgot how tiny they are! I miss mine being babies, but I also don’t lol. Baby clothes are the cutest though and it was fun to go baby shopping. It was also lovely choosing a gorgeous card and a beautiful gift bag. I saw a mum in the shops with a newborn too and oh my gosh she was so sweet! I love all things baby. We headed to the baby shower today and enjoyed  the fun games and watching the mum to be open all her new things for her baby boy due early next month!

More shopping!

I know I love shopping, and I have been naughty shopping for things for our new home. I should be waiting until we are in the house to see what I need, but sometimes I discover a new shop and I can’t resist!

Time with my mum.

Mum and I have been hanging out lots this week, we have the best chats. After nearly loosing her a few years back I always cherish her and how lucky we are to be so close.

New Friends.

My son who is 6 has made such a great new friend at school, he is really enjoying this new found bond and it is lovely to see him so happy at school.

Homemade Soup!

Even though it hasn’t been soup weather, my mum made her homemade soup this week the same one my Grandmother used to make, it was so delicious and even the kids loved it!

Gratitude.

This week hasn’t all been sunshine and roses, some moments have been tough. The girls were both down, my internet has been playing up and driving me insane and a few other things have upset me, but then I remember how much I have to be grateful for! Gratitude really puts life into perspective and makes me see that I am so blessed. Writing a list like this helps too as it makes me look at the positives from the week that has been.
