This past weekend was, as my daughter put it “a weekend of celebrating”!

Saturday was my brother’s birthday and we celebrated by heading out for a lovely lunch with family and then headed back to our parent’s home for cake and coffee. Whilst there we finally collected our cats and our dog Holly-Rose, and brought them home with us. They had stayed with my parents whist we moved as it was less stressful for them and for us, but we really missed them! When we got home we sat out in the backyard for ages playing with our pets, it was so beautiful seeing how happy the kids were!

Sunday was Mother’s day and I was so excited to be in my new home to celebrate! The kids were so excited to gave me the cards they had made and the gifts they had chosen from the Mother’s Day Stall at their school! I was given breakfast in bed and surrounded by a sea of cards, wrapping paper and glitter! I felt very special and so blessed.

The girls got busy baking and preparing treats whist I took a lovely long shower, my son Adam was not impressed that I was out of bed, according to him I was expected to stay in bed ALL DAY on Mother’s Day! My mum and sister came over after lunch and we enjoyed the yummy treats that my girls had made. It was a lovely day. Hubby cooked a yummy dinner and after the kids were tucked up in bed we relaxed with a cuppa. We decided to ignore the unpacked boxes this weekend and it really was wonderful.
