Never let success get to your head;
Never let failure get to your heart.

Today I am sharing some tips with you on how to become more successful, so here goes. . . .
- Make your goals clear. Decide what it is you are working for, what do you want to achieve?
- Make sure your actions (no matter how tiny) are always directed at achieving your end goal.
- Hold yourself accountable, mark down on a calendar what you wish to achieve and stick to it.
- Reward yourself for your commitment to your goals, and actions towards those. Treat yourself to something nice and acknowledge your efforts (this helps to reinforce positive behaviours and will keep you motivated).
- Give thanks to the universe daily for giving you focus and determination, when you show gratitude towards these qualities you actually build them within yourself.
- Say “I will”. “I can”. I am”!
- Be kind to yourself, be patient and gentle, nurture who you are.
- Don’t expect others to make you happy or make you reach your goal, having support, help and friendship is great, but remember you have to follow this dream, it is your dream.
- Don’t compare yourself to others, this is your journey. Comparing yourself can steal your joy, if you feel or act jealous you take away your own feelings of self worth. Don’t allow jealously into your thoughts or heart it will distract you, and detract from what you are trying to achieve.
- Happiness is in the journey as much as the destination, so enjoy it, revel in every success and every step forward no matter how small it may seem at the time.
- Be unique, every one has their own gifts to offer, so offer the world yours. Don’t try and copy others, be you, share yourself with us.
- Be happy for others and their success. Instead of being jealous, if you celebrate others successes and surround yourself with positive and successful people you are more likely to achieve your own goals.

I love a good Friday morning pep talk-thank you #blogcrush
Fab Friday inspiration!! Thanks so much! Love the “I will! I am! I can!” Thank you #BlogCrush
I think these are great tips and don’t really have anything else to add! I think it is so important not to compare our ‘inside’ to other people’s ‘outside’ – especially in the blogging world! xx #BlogCrush
These are excellent tips! We need to be reminded of some of them from time to time, so this was a timely reminder to be sure!
Nothing like a Monday morning “Get up and go talk” to set me up for the day 🙂
Great tips as always. Don’t compare yourself to others is the main one for me, I think that is SO important. For a long time I did compare myself and I always ended up feeling as though I wasn’t good enough. These days I concentrate on myself, its far healthier! #mg
That was inspiring. I am only recently learning to say ‘I can’ and ‘I will’ from an ‘I’ll try’. Some progress.
I am so bad at setting goals! Such a great list; pinned.
I will, I can, I am is such a powerful mantra. Maybe we could add next “I have”… #mg
I love the two quotes at beginning and end of your post Mackenzie. WE need to celebrate our successes no matter how small. Sometimes we don’t quite make it and that is okay too. We just get back on track and keep trying. Thanks for the link up #mg
What great advice. Love the quote you’ve chosen too. #mg
Some real words of wisdom here. There are lots of lessons here that I need to take to heart, particularly saying “I can”, “I will, “I am”. I’m a big believer in the power of words and take great care in how I speak to my children, but I’m rubbish at applying that same theory to the way that I speak to myself. Thanks for the encouragement and “I can do this”!

Great tips, especially rewarding yourself along the way and celebrating each step along the way. I have something like that mapped out as a future words to live by post x

I will, I can, I am – great words and ones I will pass onto my teens too. #mg
Brilliant tips. I particularly liked: Happiness is in the journey as much as the destination, so enjoy it, revel in every success and every step forward no matter how small it may seem at the time. Thank you for hosting 🌟 #MG
