“To help yourself, you must be yourself. Be the best that you can be. When you make a mistake, learn from it, pick yourself up and move on”.

Dave Pelzer

Do you feel like you are being the real you? Do you even know who the real you is? What are you passionate about? What makes you truly happy? Are you hiding yourself from people that are close to you, pretending to be something you are not, afraid if people see the real you they will reject you?

It is so easy to get caught up in our busy lives, and pleasing others, that we forget how much we matter! We don’t prioritise self care, or self expression. We run around trying to make everyone else happy, and we forget that our own happiness matters. Often we feel run down, over worked, stressed, tired, and on the verge of tears and we wonder why? Well I am here to tell you that it is because you are not prioritising your own needs, you are forgetting to care for YOU!

I can not stress to you enough how important it is to take care of yourself. And I know it is easier said than done, but we have to make our owe physical and mental health a priority. If you love your children, spouse, partner, parents, or whoever so much that you would do anything for them, then shouldn’t you take care of YOU, because you matter to them! They need you healthy, they need you happy! Give yourself permission to look after yourself, and give yourself permission to let your inner self shine!

If you are struggling with worries make sure you take a read of my post from last week all about Letting go of Worry. And if you are struggling with the concept of living fearlessly authentic, check out my post HERE.  You may also find my post about reducing stress helpful, “Habits to adopt to reduce worry and improve well-being“.

Now it is time for my favourite #livingfearlesslyauthentic pics! I love people celebrating ‘real life’, and not pretending to be anything they are not, just sharing real photos of everyday moments, messes, and beautiful captures like these little explorers having fun and learning about nature. This fab pic is by @mammasschool
