“Don’t you wish you could take a single childhood memory and blow it up into a bubble and live inside it forever?”
― Sarah Addison Allen, Lost Lake
With Easter weekend holidays here it brings back many great childhood memories for me. In particular family holidays, camping, and searching for Easter eggs with my siblings on Easter Sunday morning. We used to camp a lot when I was little, and it was so much fun. We’d have a camp fire each night, and go on walks during the day. One of my favourite things was collecting firewood with my dad, or when he would take me riding off-road on his motorbike. At night my mum used to let my sister and I use her special face soap and we’d feel so grown up.
Now I am a mum of 3 myself, and I am creating memories with my own children. Life is so precious and there is nothing I love more than holidays with my children, making sweet memories for them is the best.
Mummy shot Instagram Community is all about capturing those precious moments, and here are my favourite photos from Mummy Shot IG community this week, they are just the sweetest, don’t you agree?
Let me introduce you to the photographers of these very cute pics!

Thanks Laura, always love your gorgeous photos xx
My grandmother passed away just under two weeks ago and I have been thinking a lot about all the sleepovers I used to have at her house and the many, many, wonderful summer vacations she brought me on. Some of my best memories are from summers spent on Cape Cod with her walking around the quaint little towns, shopping in the stores, and gathering together on the town green listening to bands play while dancing long into the night.
sounds so beautiful, what special memories. Thanks so much for sharing this memory with me xx
Huge fan of the pastels and love these. The first reminds me of a certain advert. #mg
I know they are so beautiful aren’t they.
My favorite childhood memory is eagerly awaiting Santa with my cousins on Christmas Eve at either my mom or my aunt’s house. We always wore pretty dresses and patent leather shoes and after dinner we were allowed to open a few presents from the relatives. I can still remember tearing open the presents and pressing my nose against the window and searching the night sky for Santa’s sleigh. Thank you Mac for co-hosting. This is lovely. #mg
Love the mummyshot pics.I don’t know why I keep forgetting to tag. Will need to correct this.Love making memories and revisiting old ones
I have such lovely memories of time away with my aunt and uncle, either in Manhattan, Long Island, or anywhere we went together. I secretly believed they were my real folks and even changed my last name when I was with them. They took me everywhere filled with culture — museums, opera, ballet, symphony. They filled my inner artist and imagination. <3 I'm smiling just typing about them. Thanks Mac! #mg
Some lovely photos Mac and it looks like you are creating some great childhood memories for your three and having great fun doing it. We had an Easter egg hunt in my parents’ garden this year. Cygnet was baffled, but certainly got into it at the end. Pen x #mg
I’ve also got many happy childhood holiday memories. And I think that what makes them so special are the photos that we had to get developed afterwards! We had to think about the photos we were taking. Digital definitely has its place too but I used to love getting the photos back! Thanks for hosting #mg
