I love being a mum, if you are a regular to my pages you will know that coming to be a mother was a journey for me, mixed with painful loss’s, heartbreak, determination, love, prayers, and miracles. I was one of those little girls that played with dolls like they were my actual babies, and my siblings still laugh about that today. Being a mum was something that I could not accept wouldn’t happen. Whatever way I had to do it, I knew I would try to do it.

So being a mum to three is such a blessing, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. Not money, a book deal, travel, nothing would matter more to me. We all have things that we are determined to make happen in our lives, things we won’t give up working towards or dreaming of. Sometimes they don’t come easy, and sometimes we have to change our expectations of how they will come about, but we have to believe that somehow, someway will achieve these goals, or wishes. My dream of becoming a mum didn’t happen as I thought it would, but I am a mum and I will be forever grateful for that. I know I am one of the lucky ones, to have a child, is such a blessing. Whether we carry them in our bodies, or in our hearts, we are blessed.

The Instagram Community I share with the gorgeous Catie from diary of an imperfect mum, celebrates parenthood by sharing photographs of our children without showing their full face. If you would like to join in simply tag your Instgarm Pics with #MummyShot and you could find yourself featured on mine, or Catie’s Blog.

It is really all about capturing emotion, or a story without seeing your child’s full face in the photograph.

What did you like to play as a child? Did you always want kids, or was it something you decided on later? Is parenthood what you hoped? Was the journey as you had expected? I’d love you to share your thoughts  with me in the comments below.
