Hopefully now everyone has recovered from the busy times over Christmas, and the partying over the new year, or sleeping over new years depending on your preference. All the resolutions have been made, possibly broken, or maybe you are in full swing of becoming the new you or giving up that bad habit you promised to ditch this year. Maybe like me you didn’t make a resolution, you are just determined to embrace everyday with the best attitude you can muster. Whichever way you’ve decided to go I wish you luck. There is no going back! 2016 is here, so it is time to embrace it and enjoy it.

Need a little inspiration? Me too, who doesn’t?

One thing I love to do is keep little inspirational quotes around me. My favourite coffee mug has a quote on it and I use it each day when I make “a little me time moment” for me and my friend named coffee!

I also have a few framed quotes around the house. I like to keep one near the front door so I see it as I enter or leave the house and also one in my kitchen to remind me to take a moment and appreciate life’s little offerings.

I like to write my own quotes too, jot them down and keep them to remind me of how important it is to fight for who we are, fight for our passions and always be true to our core values.

Tweet me: “Fight for who you are, fight for your passions & always be true to your core values.”

My advice to you would be this, don’t be too hard on yourself, be your greatest friend, not your own worst enemy. Treat yourself the way you would treat someone you love, someone who you admire and respect. Hold yourself accountable for bad choices and turn those bad choices into positive changes. Don’t beat yourself up and don’t hang onto old baggage, admit you made a bad choice, a mistake, and after you’ve admitted it realise it is time to forgive yourself and move on! Write in on a piece of paper and then rip it up and throw it in the bin, say goodbye to past hurts and those bad choices and allow room for the light and love to enter. It really is like doing a clean out of a cupboard or draw. Once you throw out the crap you don’t need anymore you suddenly have room for all the new, fresh and pretty things!  You deserve all those pretty and fresh things!

Tweet me: “Be who you know you want to be, & you are proud to be.”
