Being a mum is one of my greatest joys, it is also one of the hardest jobs I’ve ever known. But I love it!

Keeping the peace between 3 children aged 10 and under, one of whom is an active 5 year old boy, isn’t always easy. Add in 2 kittens, a cheeky blogging puppy and 5 chickens and we have a lot of chaos and fun in our home. There are tantrums, tears, sweet giggles, loads of hugs and lots of bed time songs to be sung. We are the Glanvilles!

One of mine and my wonderful hubby’s favourite things is taking photographs, you may have already seen our photography website, or follow us on Instagram @photoglanville or @macglanville. I love taking pics of my children and what they have been up to! I also love writing posts about being Mum. Being a mum is tough at times, because as any parent knows it is a 24/7 job. It is also the best thing I have ever done! I love my family more than anything and never knew love could be so amazing and fulfilling.

There is more to me than mummy though! I am a writer, a photographer, a life guide, and much more. Recently I was talking to a writer friend of mine and asking if my blog is too confusing.

What I meant by that is that some of my posts are very ‘Mummy‘, others are more based around my work as a ‘Life Guide‘. She said it was ‘OK as I am still finding myself as a blogger’. I walked away and reflected on our chat, and realised that I don’t have to fit a mould. I don’t have to only blog about my ‘Mummy life’, or only my ‘Life Guide work’. I have many qualities that make me ME. I want to be honest and authentic when I blog, and share all of myself! To only be a ‘Mummy Blog’ would be to hide a part of myself, a huge part of myself. And the same goes for if I was to never blog about my day to day life with my family! I am who I am, and I want to share all of me.

I co-host an amazing Linky with an inspirational woman Janine Ripper every Friday, called Friday Reflections. @FridayReflect  It is centred around reflecting on life. Each week we provide you with 3 prompts to encourage you to reflect on your week or on life.

FRIDAY REFLECTIONS 250 x 250

I have decided it is time for me to have a ‘Mummy’ or ‘Parenting’ Linky too, as this is a huge part of me, and a huge part of my everyday life. It is called “Mummy & Us“! ‘Mummy and Us’ will be about Linking up your family blogs. Basically anything you have written about regarding being a parent can be linked up once a week. The Link up will open on Tuesdays and close on Saturdays. Plenty of time for us busy parents to link up.

Click to Tweet: Link up every Tuesday to Saturday with the “Mummy & Us” Linky.

This Link Up will allow you to link one post per week, your favourite blog post past or present that is related to parenting. From your favourite photos of your kids, to posts about what you got up to on the weekend, what weird and wonderful things your children are up to, a great craft idea, or a recipe your family loves. The possibilities are endless. As long as the post is about family, and is not offensive it can be added to my Linky! There will be some Rules, they’re easy to follow though.

I can’t wait to see your posts.
