Sitting here on a Sunday afternoon on my bed putting together a collection of my favourite photos from this weeks Living Fearlessly Authentic Instagram Community, my hubby just surprised me by bringing me a cup of tea and a handful of those delicious speckled mini easter eggs. The weather has turned surprisingly cold today and the rain has been pouring down on and off all morning, every now and then the blue sky makes an appearance. The wind almost sounds wild, and so my bedroom seems like the perfect place to cosy up and work on my blog. We had planned a family drive out to the countryside today, but it ended up feeling like a lazy indoor Sunday instead.
My brother has taken Aspen to see Beauty and The Beast today, and hubby is having some time with our two youngest. It’s nice just being here having a little quiet moment writing and sipping my warm tea. If you read my recent post on feeling low, you will know that last week I struggled to feel happy, I think sometimes we just need a quiet day. We always have so much scheduled in, like yesterday with parties and playdates and taxiing kids around, whilst trying to work on the garden in between, life can just be too busy too often! So I am going to enjoy this moment, on this cold, windy, lazy Sunday afternoon. What did you get up to over the weekend? Did you manage any quiet time?

Some quiet time can really heal us, no? Hope you feel better this week. I’m having a busy couple of weeks as my husband is away on a work trip and my daughter is being really clingy and cranky. I think she is missing her daddy and being unable to express that, she’s just not being herself. I’m just waiting for next week when my husband will be back and some of my load will be shifted 🙂
I want to watch Beauty and the Beast too!! I love fantasy movies. But I haven’t got to a movie theatre in ages now!
Hi Mackenzie I do hope your ‘me time’ helped. Just remember we do have moments where we just don’t fee happy and sometimes we aren’t even sure why. Go with it at these times and try to do something you enjoy. I do love the #livingfearlessly authentic and look forward to your ‘favourites’ each week. Thanks for the link up and sending hugs to you. Have a beautiful day.
Thanks for hosting and have a wonderful week,
Mac, I do hope you are feeling better! I know I am personally trying to laugh more often. Times are tough, the country is a mess, the world is wacky. A lovely warm cuppa from the hubby sounds lovely. Sending hugs! #mg xoxo
Oh Mac, I’m sorry you were feeling low. I’ve been a bad bloggy-friend and haven’t been here as often as I’ve wanted to. I’m glad though you were able to have some quiet time. I find it always soothes me. I took myself and a book by the lake for an hour and soaked the sun while I read.
Take care, lovely!
Home is where the heart is
