We started the year watching the most beautiful sunrise, we spent summer days travelling and exploring pristine beaches we had never seen. In many ways I had never felt more at peace and so blessed. Oh holidays life seems slower somehow. I guess you slow your pace, you become more mindful, and it is easier to live in the moment. But the reality was we couldn’t travel endlessly, the children had school, and we had grown up responsibilities.

It wasn’t until May before our new home was finally ready to move into, so for a few months I felt a sense of having no place to call my own. I spent days dreaming of how I would decorate my new home. It was so exciting to finally move in and start our new beginning. It seems like the rest of the year flew by. In many ways it did, which is why I love sharing images on Instagram, it is a diary of photographs, a place to store the precious moments that meant the most to me this year. My happy place.

So I have decided to share some of my Instagram images here, as a way of reflecting on the best moments of 2016.

These were some of my most popular posts in 2016 on Instagram

Some of my favourite images where of the beautiful beaches we visited.

Cleary this year I drank a lot of coffee.

And some of my favourite Instagram moments were of our family holidays.

Looking back it certainly brings back a lot of memories. Of course life isn’t always picture perfect, but it is such a lovely way to look back upon the year that was and focus on some of the best bits.

Wishing you all a fabulous 2017, hope you can join me here at reflectionsfromme.com for more fun, inspiration, and reflective posts.

Thanks for joining me, love Mac xx
